The combination of PLARAD torque technology and HEICO-LOCK® reaction and locking elements creates a high-performance system for demanding bolting applications.
PLARAD torque wrenches are characterized by precise control, high reliability and excellent process safety. When used in conjunction with HEICO-LOCK® reaction washers and HEICO-ONE® safety washers, large bolted joints can be assembled and disassembled quickly, safely and without the need for additional reaction arms.
These system components enable reaction-free operation and support reproducible bolting processes – even at high torque levels and in repetitive applications.

Reactionarm-free bolting with PLARAD
When tightening large bolted joints, a reaction torque is generated that normally has to be absorbed by suitable reaction supports. By using PLARAD torque wrenches in combination with HEICO-LOCK® Reaction Washers and the corresponding sockets, the reaction torque is safely and effectively dissipated – without the need for additional reaction arms.
As a result, bending stresses in the bolt are reduced, reaction forces are controlled in a targeted manner, and operator safety as well as component protection are significantly increased.

More InformationHEICO-LOCK® reaction washers
HEICO-LOCK® is a wedge-locking, two-piece washer system with a gear-shaped profile that prevents self-loosening of bolted joints and reliably maintains constant preload force. When used in combination with PLARAD torque wrenches, large bolted joints can be tightened safely, without damage and with high process reliability – without the need for additional reaction arms, even when using electric, pneumatic or hydraulic tools.
HEICO-ONE® safety washers
HEICO-ONE® safety washers are specially developed locking elements that prevent co-rotation on the passive side, eliminating the need for additional counter-holding tools. When combined with HEICO-LOCK® reaction washers and PLARAD torque systems, they enable safe, precise and fast assembly, even in applications with one-sided access.
